Charcoal and graphite drawing of a woman lying down, hair streaming, one hand gripping her head.

Study for "The Dream – Paolo and Francesca"

A woman lies across the sheet, her head turned and long hair spilling in tangled strands while one arm rises to grip her head. Rendered in soft graphite and charcoal with smudged tone on tan paper, the study dissolves the figure into flowing lines.

Look closer: A small cursive signature in pencil sits in the lower right corner.
