Dark brown conical tea bowl with fine streaky hare's fur glaze on a small foot ring, against a grey background.

Tea Bowl: Jian Ware

A conical tea bowl with flared rim and short foot ring, covered in a dark brown glaze broken by fine, rust-edged streaks that run down the walls, the so-called hare's fur pattern. A glossy highlight sits on the interior. The bowl is shown alone against a plain grey ground.

Look closer: Small lighter rust-edged streaks of the glaze are visible near the base of the bowl where the glaze thins.
