Terracotta kantharos (drinking cup with high handles)
A black-glazed terracotta kantharos, a deep drinking cup with tall looping handles and a footed stem. On the body, a pale female head in profile-to-front view, crowned and framed by swirling volutes, is set between bands of red and black ornament.
Look closer: Small palmette-like ornaments and dotted rosettes sit on the black field beside the head.
