Terracotta krater with lid surmounted by a small hydria

A large Geometric-style terracotta krater with a domed, latticed lid topped by a small hydria-like finial. Bands of zigzag, meander and hatched ornament encircle the body, with framed panels of animals and figures, including horses and birds, around the shoulder.

Look closer: A lattice-patterned band just below the lid's finial reads as a separate decorative zone.
