Terracotta loutrophoros (ceremonial vase for water)
A tall Apulian red-figure vase with a black glaze, scroll handles and a lidded neck. Two friezes of standing figures, some holding objects, wrap the body, separated by bands of ornament and a central column-like motif.
Look closer: A small figure seated or standing near the lower frieze’s central column, partly hidden by ornament.
