Terracotta Panathenaic prize amphora (jar)
A black-figure amphora with a two-horse chariot race painted around its body, the horses shown in full stride with riders leaning forward. The figures are silhouetted in black slip against the orange clay, with incised details and a black band below. Two handles and a banded neck frame the scene.
Look closer: A small shield and spear-like shape sits at the far left, partly hidden by the first horse's legs.
