Terracotta situla (bucket)
A black-glazed terracotta situla, or bucket-shaped vessel, with a looped strap handle and a reddish footed base. Yellow dotted bands run around the body, and a yellow lion-head appliqué with a red mouth sits on the shoulder beside a pale appliqué.
Look closer: A small pale appliqué sits low on the body below the lion head, easy to overlook against the dark glaze.
