Kabuki Actors in a Dynamic Scene, Hanging Scroll

A hanging scroll mounted in striped brocade shows three costumed figures in a dynamic, stage-like scene. One figure in dark robes raises an arm beside a wooden stand, while others in green and striped patterned kimono crowd the left and right edges. The painting in ink, color, and gold on paper sits within black borders decorated with scrolling patterns.
