Angel Gabriel Meets 'Amr ibn Zaid, Folio from a Siyer-i Nebi
A miniature painting shows two robed figures on a rocky landscape: one on a brown camel in a red saddle cloth, the other beside a dark horse in green garments and a white turban. Trees, blue crags and gold-ground Arabic calligraphy frame the scene in ink and opaque watercolor.
