The Boston Clipper, Lightning
A three-masted clipper ship sails under full canvas across choppy blue-green water, its dark hull marked by a gold stripe and a United States flag flying at the stern. Watercolor on paper shows pale clouds over a soft sky, with the ship in profile on the right and rigging lines spread across the composition.
