Mughal Prince Parvez and a Holy Man
A richly dressed prince in a white jama, gold-trimmed sash and orange turban gestures toward a bearded, nearly nude ascetic with long matted hair standing beside a tree. The soft brown ground, pale green foliage and thin ink outlines suggest a Mughal-era miniature painted with opaque watercolor and gold.
