The Plains of Musashi

A six-panel folding screen on a gold-leaf ground shows a large dark blue moon rising at left above a field of tall grasses. Rounded ink-washed hills and clumps of grass in green and brown spread across the lower panels, with the grass outlines sharply defined against the gold.

Look closer: Small dark birds or flecks are faintly visible among the grasses at the lower right.
