Etching of arched Roman brick ruins of the Baths of Diocletian, half-hidden by overgrown vegetation on a hillside.

Thermaru diocletiani Ruinae (Baths of Diocletian), from "Roman Ruins"

An etching of overgrown ruins with several brick-vaulted arches and openings, set into a steep bank crowned with shrubs and trees. Figures are absent; the lower center shows a dirt path leading into the vaults, and the inscription at bottom reads Thermaru diocletiani Ruinae. Fine hatching describes the masonry and foliage.
