Thetis and Achilles, etching after Tischbein

An etching on pale paper shows a winged-helmeted warrior in armor standing before a draped female figure who hovers above him in clouds. A seated figure and a distant tent-filled landscape appear at right, with the French title engraved in capitals below. The fine hatched lines give the scene a soft, airy tone.
