Painting of a seated woman in a pale gown, a standing woman in shadow, and a bearded man in white holding a small figure beside a stone ledge.

Thetis asks Hephaestus to forge armour for her son Achilles

Three figures in a dim interior: a seated woman in a pale classical gown turns toward a standing woman in dark drapery, while a bearded older man in a white tunic leans in at right, holding a small unclothed figure against his shoulder. Warm light falls on a stone ledge and dark curtain in this loosely painted oil scene.
