Three Friends of Winter

A branch of red-brown plum with pink blossoms and yellow stamens curves across the sheet, joined by bamboo leaves at left and pine needles at lower right. Clusters of red berries and a column of Chinese calligraphy fill the upper right, in soft ochre and green tones.

Look closer: A column of Chinese calligraphy, likely with a seal, runs down the upper right.
