Tomb Guardian with Animal Head
A glazed earthenware tomb guardian in three-color sancai ware, standing on a scalloped base. Its lion-like head, with an open mouth and fierce brow, rises beneath a flaring crest of green, amber, and cream glaze that drips down the body.
Look closer: A small dark curled tail-like form rests on the base beside the front leg.
