Tomb Guardians

Two glazed earthenware guardian figures stand on lobed bases, each with a flaming crest and fierce face. Green, amber, cream and blue sancai glazes run over their bodies, with wings and clawed feet visible. Shown as a front and side pair against a dark ground.

Look closer: Clawed feet and a small wing edge are visible at the lower sides of the figures.
