Oval engraving of two men gathering wood in a leafless winter landscape, with a figure in the clouds above and a village on the right.

Twelve Months: January, winter labours engraving

An oval engraving shows two men in a bare winter landscape, one carrying a bundle of sticks while the other bends to gather fallen branches among leafless trees. A cloud-borne figure hovers above, and a distant village with a church sits on the right, rendered in fine hatched lines.
