August Harvest Labours, Twelve Months Engraving
An oval engraving of August's harvest work shows a reaper in the foreground bending with a sickle among cut wheat, while figures bind sheaves at left. A cart and farm buildings sit in the distant landscape beneath clouds and a sky with a small cluster of figures. The month label AOVST appears at lower left.
