A pale nephrite vase with a domed cover topped by a carved lion-dog figure. Relief carving shows a phoenix with a long, looping tail, peony blossoms on the body, and swirling cloud forms at the base and handles. The photograph is black and white against a dark ground, with the museum label and catalogue number 548 visible.
