Vase with Floral Scrolls

A tall stoneware vase with a flared rim and slender neck, its rounded body decorated with incised scrolling peony-like blossoms and tendrils in brown slip beneath a cream glaze. Bands of scrolling foliage encircle the lower body, and a small foot supports the piece.

Look closer: Fine incised wave-like scrolls fill the band just below the rim of the shoulder.
