Engraved rococo vignette: a seated woman beside a beehive, with a skull, lute, sickle and horn in the foreground and trees behind.

Vignet met allegorie met symbolen van overvloed en vergankelijkheid

An engraved vignette in a rococo scrollwork cartouche shows a seated woman in flowing robes beside a beehive on a stone pedestal, with a skull, a lute, a sickle, a horn and a flute at her feet. Trees and a distant landscape fill the background, and tiny bees fly above the hive. Fine parallel hatching models the foliage and drapery.
