Bird and wisteria, woodblock print by Hiroshige

A woodblock print on a tall vertical sheet shows a dark blue-gray bird with a long tail perched on a bending branch. Clusters of pink-red blossoms hang from the branch against a background that fades from red to pale cream. Columns of calligraphy and a red seal sit at the left and lower right, and the branch curves down through the sheet.
