White Birch Leaf Edge Caterpillar, study for Concealing Coloration in the Animal Kingdom

A watercolor study of a large green leaf with pale spots and ragged edges lying over dark, shadowed foliage. Thin branches and smaller green leaves radiate from the lower left and right, with a few pinkish stems visible. The image shows concealing coloration in a leaf-like setting, with no caterpillar clearly visible.
