Wigwam, Niagara Falls, graphite sketch by Frederic Edwin Church
A pencil sketch of a bark-covered wigwam with a low, arched frame and a dark doorway opening at the front, set among thin trees. A second, fainter wigwam appears at the left edge, and handwritten notes and a circular stamp mark the paper. The loose graphite lines show texture in the bark sheathing and the ground.
