Winter Basket: Narcissus, Camellia, and Wax Plum

A flower arrangement in a footed basket-handled vase: pink camellias, pale narcissus and yellow wax plum sprays rise above the rim against a plain pale ground. Delicate ink outlines and soft washes of color show the layered woodblock printing, with a poem written in columns at upper right.

Look closer: A column of Chinese calligraphy, a poem, is written in ink at the upper right, with a small signature below it.
