Woman from the French Colonies
A bronze bust of a young woman with curled hair, a small bird ornament at the crown, and a gold earring. Her bare shoulders are partly covered by a loose drapery carved from veined, banded stone in cream and rust tones. She turns her face to the left, set on a white marble base.
Look closer: A small bird ornament perched on top of the head, above the hair.
