Zhang Xian Shoots the Heavenly Dog
A large central figure in a patterned blue and gold robe draws a bow upward toward a stylized cloud, accompanied by a small kneeling attendant holding a flowering branch and a standing attendant with a red-tasseled spear. The tan ground and flat, outlined color suggest a Chinese popular print of the Daoguang era.
Look closer: A small deer or animal figure is drawn within the cloud at the upper right.
