Duas mulheres estão sentadas em uma varanda de madeira ao lado de um biombo shoji, uma com um quimono vermelho xadrez e obi estampado, a outra com roupas cinza-esverdeadas e a cabeça inclinada. Um relógio aparece na borda esquerda, e folhas de bambu e uma trepadeira surgem no jardim. A xilogravura colorida tem tons suaves e chapados com contornos finos.
