Um frade barbudo com auréola ajoelha-se numa paisagem rochosa sob uma árvore, com os braços abertos em direção a um serafim alado que desce das nuvens. Dois anjos o acompanham, e um crânio aparece no canto inferior esquerdo. As linhas finas da gravura e o hachurado cruzado modelam os hábitos e o céu.
