Três terriers reúnem-se em um celeiro com feno empilhado atrás deles: um cheira um cesto de vime sobre as tábuas do piso, enquanto os outros o observam atentamente. As linhas finas da gravura definem os pelos ásperos, e esboços de feira e circo emolduram a cena central sob a legenda «Rough and Ready».
