Un tríptico de tres paneles muestra mujeres elegantemente vestidas sentadas en una galería de madera frente a biombos de papel con celosía y bambú, varias de ellas tocando instrumentos de cuerda como el shamisen. Impreso con tinta teñida de verde y rojo y contornos negros, los pliegos hosoban sin recortar tienen un aspecto plano, delicado y decorativo.
